Provide Islamic religious teaching, guidance and leadership in the community in keeping with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad. Establish and promote educational and extracurricular programs for both adults and the youth.

Lead prayers and other religious ceremonies for the community consisting of all people from different backgrounds and cultures as well as fostering the promotion of friendship and understanding between the ABNH and other religious organizations in the community. 

 

Duties:

• Giving the Khutbah (ceremonial speech) and lead prayer every Jumu’ah (Friday) and Eid Prayers.
• Pray Taraweek prayer and provide nightly lectures throughout the month of Ramadan.
• Provide funeral services and guidance to families and friends.
• Conduct matrimonial services.
• Provide Islamic family and youth counseling and guidance as needed.
• Provide lessons on various Islamic topics so as to increase breadth and knowledge of Islamic teachings and to provide spiritual growth to all in the community.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors and provide consultation on religious matters, issues within the community and general activities of the ABNH.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies
4 years of experience as an Imam.
Fluent in Bosnian language (spoken & written)
